When it comes to getting rid of odours, air purifiers are often touted as the best option to deal with the smell of your home.
But it can be hard to keep up with the ever-changing air quality around the world, and it can often take weeks or even months for your home to clear up.
That means you’re left with a dirty and smelly home for the rest of your life.
So if you’re trying to avoid the odours in your home, here are some tips to help you get rid: 1.
Buy your air purifying product online before you travel If you buy your air cleaning product online, you can have the cleaner house by the end of the day.
If you’re not sure about a product, ask your local shop or contact a qualified professional to find out.
“You should never buy a product online that you can’t test on your own,” Dr Peter Smith, an expert in home air quality, told ABC News.
“It’s important to have a professional do the testing.”
If you have an allergy to some products, you might need to check the label of the product before you buy it.
“The smell can linger for days, weeks or months, if the product doesn’t come through with a good test,” Dr Smith said.
“And some of the best air purification products don’t come with a lab test.”
2.
Use a mask You can mask the smell by using a mask.
“Masks can help mask the odour from coming out of the home,” Dr Brown said.
But masks aren’t the best way to keep your air cleaner.
“Some people don’t like the idea of a mask in the house,” Dr Cook said.
For some, it can help to use a mask to cover up the air inside the home.
“So, I use a black latex mask to protect my face and mouth and throat, so I don’t get smelly,” Dr Bock said.
3.
Turn off the lights and lights in your room When you turn off your lights, it helps to turn them off for at least 30 minutes.
“This will give you a longer window to try to get some air into your home,” he said.
Dr Brown recommends using a portable air purifyr if you don’t have one.
“I’d use a portable to keep it away from the ceiling and outside the room,” Dr Williams said.
4.
Turn your curtains and curtains hangers upside down When your curtains are down, it’s a good idea to turn the hangers so they’re facing the opposite direction of the wall.
“In the past, I’d get the hanger upside down, because it was easier to get a clear air in and clean up the smell,” Dr Lomax said.
If your curtains can’t be turned over, you’ll have to use something more permanent to get air into the home, Dr Smith recommended.
“We used to use white plastic, but it’s now all black plastic,” he told ABC.
5.
Replace your carpet or rug If you’ve had carpet stains on the walls, floorboards or carpets, you may want to consider replacing them.
“If you have carpet stains, there are several things you can do to make sure you dont put them back in the same place they came from,” Dr Harris said.
These include using a dry cleaner or carpet cleaner to remove the carpet and any stains left on the carpet.
“Once the carpet is dry, you’re going to have to clean the stains off,” Dr Evans said.
6.
Use cleaners and cleaners products If you want to clean up your air, you need to use cleaning products.
“Cleaning is the only thing that will help remove the smell and odours,” Dr Jackson said.
However, “you can also use household cleaners to clean out the mess you’re creating.”
There are many cleaning products on the market, including detergents, cleaners, hand sanitizers, bleach, liquid dishwashing liquid, deodorants, detergent wipes, hair deodorant, bleach and alcohol-based cleaners.
If the products aren’t as effective as they claim, they’re often not the best choice for cleaning.
“There are many cleaners out there that you need the most and there are not as many that you should use,” Dr King said.
7.
Clean the inside of your house and outside of your door The inside of the house should be cleaned out as well.
“When you get inside the house, you want it to be dry and dry,” Dr Anderson said.
This will help keep out dust, dirt and allergens.
You can also spray your house with cleaners or other household cleaning products to make it less likely that your home will smell.
8.
Use an air purifiant in your kitchen When you need air to be purged in your bathroom, you don,t have to buy a cleaning product
