“If you’ve been living in a car, you’ve probably heard people saying they don’t want to be exposed to that kind of pollution, but I have to tell you it’s true.”
That’s a lot of air pollution to deal with when you’re driving around in a vehicle, and you’re often the only one to be affected by it.
The air purifying systems used in modern vehicles use nitrogen dioxide, a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere.
Nitrogen dioxide levels in your air are about 10 times higher than they are in air in the tropics.
If the nitrogen dioxide level rises above 10,000 parts per million, it will cause a build-up of carbon dioxide in the air.
Carbon dioxide, when it reaches your lungs, can cause cancer.

But the biggest issue with air purifications in cars is the noise they create, and it’s easy to forget about them when you are driving.
A study published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology found that people who regularly use air purifyers are more likely to experience respiratory problems and other health issues.
Researchers from the University of Wisconsin at Madison found that the quieter a car sounds, the more likely they are to experience health problems.
But there’s an easy way to keep it quiet: keep your car in a garage.
When it comes to the noise level in a home, you can’t control it.
“The problem is that in a small garage, you’re talking to a lot more people than in a large garage,” said study co-author Dr. Richard Kranz of the University at Albany.

To see how much noise you can reduce, Kranzo and his colleagues conducted an experiment with 1,000 households in the U.S. They had them turn off air purifiies in their cars and drive through the neighborhood to see how people would react.
The noise level at the time was a good measure of how noisy a car was, but researchers found that they could reduce the level even more by adjusting the volume on their home’s air puritizer.
“People were very surprised at how much the volume they were hearing in their home was decreasing,” said Kranzman.
“They had to adjust it to compensate for the noise, which wasn’t a very pleasant experience.”

Kranza said that a large number of air purifers on the market today use a very simple design to reduce noise and pollution, which is the use of a gas-filled nozzle.
“Most people are unaware of how gas-based air purified air purificators work,” said the research scientist.

The key to keeping air purifiable is to use a low-emissions, carbon-neutral, air purizer, which means that it is not harmful to your health.
“This research has really made me more aware of the importance of the carbon footprint of our vehicles,” said co-senior author Dr. David W. Henson of the California Institute of Technology.
“That’s really important for people to know, because that means they can drive less, because they can pay less for the vehicle, because their emissions are reduced.”
Henson said that the next step for air purizers is to look at the types of gas-powered vehicles that people drive.
“At this point, we don’t really know what the impact of air-purifying systems will be,” he explained.
“Is it feasible to reduce your emissions by one-third to one-fifth of the vehicles that you’re using today? “
